Dr. Steven Mariani was born in Puerto Rico but spent most of his childhood in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. After high school, he moved to Lakeland, Florida, to attend Southeastern University and graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Pre-medicine/Biology and a minor in Chemistry. During his sophomore year as an undergrad, he gained a passion for dentistry while shadowing his anatomy professor and a dentist and volunteering at Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine.

After graduating from SEU with his BS degree, he attended the University of South Florida and completed a one-year Master of Science in Medical Sciences in 2015.

From there, he was accepted to the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry and graduated in 2020. While in dental school, he volunteered many hours at Mission Lexington, providing charitable dental care to the local community. He also attended a Christian dental mission trip to Puerto Rico. In his last two years of dental school, he was vice president of his local Hispanic Student Dental Association chapter.

After graduating in 2020, Dr Steven spent four years in the Armed Forces, serving as a Captain in the Army Dental Corps. He attended and graduated from a one- year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program at Fort Jackson, SC, then went on to serve as the Brigade Dentist for the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, GA, from 2021-2024. In 2022, during the beginning of the Ukraine war, his brigade rapidly deployed for 6 months to Germany in support of NATO. He is proud to have served the last 4 years in the US Army and is a proud veteran.

He is happy to be back in Lakeland, FL, and excited to be part of the Agnini Dental Family, where he can provide comprehensive, compassionate, and excellent dental care to the community of Lakeland and surrounding areas.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Steven enjoys traveling, eating out, lifting weights at the gym, spending time with friends and family, reading a good book, and drinking a hot cup of coffee.
