Dr. Michael Agnini

Dr. Michael Agnini graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 1972. He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida State University in 1967 and also completed one year of graduate training in Biology. Dr. Agnini served in the United States Air Force, Dental Corps, for two years, completing a rotating specialty dental training. He served as a dental examiner for the Florida State Board of Dentistry from 1980-1983. He has completed over 1000 hours of continuing education in orthodontics, the treatment of TMJ, and sleep disorders. Dr Mike is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Polk County Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, the International Association of Orthodontics, The American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. Dr. Mike is a Senior Certified Instructor with the International Association for Orthodontics and has taught orthodontics internationally. He has also authored an article in the IAO journal in 2007.

Dr. Mike, his wife Donna, and his children – Dr. Matt, Dr. Drew and Ashley – are devoted to treating people in third world nations. They all have been involved in dental mission trips to Russia, Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia. Dr. Mike enjoys traveling, playing golf with his two sons, and spending playtime with his 2 Great Danes and Springer Spaniel.

Dr. Matt Agnini

Dr. Matt Agnini graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, in 2002. He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from Florida Southern College in 1998. After graduation, Dr. Matt completed a one-year general dental residency with major emphasis on surgical placement of dental implants at the VA Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

He is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Osseointegration, International Team for Implantology, American Dental Society on Anesthesiology, and the Florida Dental Society for Anesthesiology. Dr. Matt is currently the President of Polk County Dental Association and has been involved with organized Dentistry through PCDA since 2005. He volunteers time treating patients at LVIM (Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine) and has played an active role in the Give Kids A Smile campaign at Traviss Career Center. He is the team dentist for the Detroit Tigers during spring training and the Lakeland Flying Tigers during the summer season.

Dr. Matt enjoys cosmetic dentistry with a special area of focus on dental implants and sedation dentistry. Dr. Matt is married to Dr. Derry Agnini who is an Orthodontist at Agnini Dental.  Dr. Matt and Dr. Derry are the proud parents of the newest member of the Agnini family…Grayson Matthew, born 8/15/11. 

Dr. Andrew Agnini

Dr. Andrew Agnini graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, 2003. He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from Florida Southern College in 1999. After graduation, Dr. Drew completed a one-year dental residency with major emphasis on surgical placement of dental implants at the VA Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

He is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, Polk County Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Osseointegration, International Team for Implantology, American Dental Society on Anesthesiology, and the Florida Dental Society for Anesthesiology. He volunteers time treating patients at LVIM (Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine).

Dr. Drew and his wife, Brooke, reside in Lakeland. Dr Drew completed a one year general practice residency at the VA Hospital in Baltimore, MD. This program focused heavily on surgical procedures including placing and restoring dental implants.

Growing up in Florida, Dr Drew loves being outdoors. His favorite past time is surfing. He has also had the privilege of taking his dental skill overseas to participate in missions trips to Russia and Africa.

Dr. Derry Agnini

Dr. Derry Agnini graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, in 2004. She received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Biology from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. Dr. Derry received her certificate of advanced graduate studies in Orthodontics from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida in 2006.

Dr. Derry is a board certified Orthodontist and is a member of American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Southern Association of Orthodontists, Florida Association of Orthodontists, Florida Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, and Polk County Dental Association.

Dr. Derry Agnini specializes in adult, teen and child orthodontics including early, interceptive treatment, traditional treatment with clear or metal braces and surgical orthodontics. She is married to Dr. Matt Agnini and they have one son, Grayson Matthew.  Her hobbies include playing tennis, traveling, reading, and playing with her two dogs Piper and Boyd.
